You know, Nigeria is just one kind amazing place. We have so many people with raw, crazy, mind-blowing talents that the rest of the world would never believe. Let me give you one example.

The other day, I was watching a video on YouTube—Jimmy Kimmel Live.

He had one celebrity guest, and she did something that made everybody in the studio start clapping and shouting.

You know what she did?

She opened a bottle of Coke with her teeth. Yes, just like that. And everyone there was acting like she just discovered electricity.

I couldn’t help but laugh.

Do you know why?

Because here in Nigeria, even a 10-year-old pikin can do that on a random Tuesday afternoon. In fact, if you go to any roadside suya spot in Jalingo, the guys there are opening Coke bottles with their teeth like it’s nothing. No big deal.

That’s when it hit me—there’s so much talent in this country, especially in places like Taraba, but most of it is hidden. Nobody sees it. Nobody celebrates it.

Meanwhile, things that we consider normal here would blow people’s minds elsewhere.

Whatever it is that makes you stand out, IBIFoundry wants to shine a spotlight on you.
